The Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy is responsible for leading operations, financial performance, and strategy within all ambulatory pharmacy areas, in alignment with John Muir Health’s strategic goals and objectives. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the position’s major responsibility is overseeing operations and strategic growth in infusion, specialty pharmacy and clinical ambulatory pharmacy operations to drive patient quality, experience, strategic outcomes and financial performance.
The Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating ambulatory medication management activities across the enterprise, including medical providers and health system stakeholders. The Director also leads clinical and operational strategy to advance top-of-scope pharmacist practice across ambulatory care settings. The Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services reports to the VP/Chief Pharmacy Officer.

Articulates to staff the budget and the context within the organizational financials.
