Community Pharmacy Tech II

• DepartmentEmployee Pharmacy Job Summary The Community Pharmacy Technician II supports all aspects of the prescription preparation process including compounding, preparation, and dispensing. This also includes greeting the patient, collecting information, entering patient data, processing claims, and referring inquires that are out of the scope of the PDT’s license to a supervising pharmacist. The Community Pharmacy Technician II assists in maintaining pharmaceutical inventory and supplies through ordering, receiving, stocking and record keeping. Community Pharmacy technicians work under the direction supervision of registered pharmacists. Pharmacy technicians do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Florida registered pharmacy technicians are governed by Section 465.014, Florida Statutes, and Rule 64B16

Required Qualifications - Require active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern license.- Require the ability to obtain level 2 AHCA clearance.- Require one (1) year of experience in a Pharmacy Technician role within SMHCS or comparable organization.

- Prefer one (1) to three (3) years of recent, community pharmacy practice experience.- Prefer excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
