Job OverviewFairview is looking for a Cook at our UMMC - West Bank location, in Minneapolis, MN! This position is about 28 hours bi-weekly, on day and evening shift. This position is not benefit eligible.

Prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays. ScheduleWeek 1:Monday 330PM-730PMTuesday 330PM-730PMWednesday 330PM-730PMSaturday 1130AM-8PMSunday 1130AM-8PMWeek 2:ResponsibilitiesPrepares food products to meet temperature and quality standards.

Follows standardized recipes weighing and measuring ingredients to assure products are consistent in quality and nutritional value. Assemble food within appropriate time frames. Handle and prepare food in safe manner following HACCP standardized operating proceduresTakes and documents temperatures of food items and makes appropriate adjustments to achieve standards.

Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedure. Takes ownership for self and others in work area. Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Required QualificationsOne to three years cook experienceAbility to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language. Basic math skills. Certified or willing to become certified for food safetyPreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma/G.
