Licensure
✓Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Texas.
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent required.
✓Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or higher degree.
Qualifications
✓Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
✓Must have a minimum of 3 years of practice experience as a pharmacist.
✓Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision, handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule, ability to set priorities, and make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency requests.
✓Must be able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Hours may be long and irregular, includes evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
✓Fosters a team environment by providing orientation and training to new team members.
✓Must be able to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, psychiatric, oncology, obstetric, chemically dependent, rehabilitation and skilled-nursing patients.
✓Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, ability to integrate knowledge with job situations.
✓Excellent oral/written communication skills.
✓Ability to strongly communicate and interact with all levels of professionals, including but not limited to physicians and nursing personnel, managers, various support staff departments, physician offices, in a non-confrontational manner.
✓Must be able to communicate complex regulatory and clinical information in understandable terms.
✓Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with various System audiences.
