You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.
✓Current Occupational Therapy Assistant License (or eligible for licensure in the practicing state)
Certifications
✓NBCOT Certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
✓Licensure, Certifications, & Clearances
✓NBCOT Certification
✓BLS or CPR Certification (American Heart Association-compliant, including hands-on skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire
Education
✓Associate degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Qualifications
✓Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
✓Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
✓Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and the ability to provide age-appropriate care.
✓Ability to analyze and interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
✓Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
✓Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
✓Completion of all required system, facility, and department orientation and competency requirements.
✓May work in areas where medications are stored; no direct medication handling is required.
✓Act 34 Clearance
✓OAPSA Clearance
Active involvement in occupational therapy or healthcare professional organizations. preferred
