Posting dates for internal transfers: October 7, 2026, through October 9, 2026 BASIC FUNCTION : To provide safe and timely transportation of patients from their home to hospital tests, and procedures and back. To provide safe and timely transportation for the delivery of supplies, specimens, drugs and paperwork to other hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing homes and other facilities. JOB DUTIES: Transport patients to test and/or procedures at the hospital, Outpatient Therapy or Wound Care, making sure they are as comfortable as possible.
To pick up and deliver bank deposit, mail, supplies, specimens, drugs and paperwork on a timely basis. Retrieval of needed supplies and equipment from storeroom, pharmacy and radiology. Make trips as requested, by pharmacy, lab, radiology, purchasing and/or other departments as needed.
Make sure transport vehicles and equipment are clean (interior and exterior) and in good repair. Make sure transport vehicles and equipment is safety checked daily. Maintain an accurate log of all transports performed and/or courier activities each day.
Responsible for checking emails and online learning assignments (Relias) on a regular basis. All other duties as assigned by director. HEALTH CARING STANDARDS / VALUES: 1.

High school graduate or equivalent; CPR certified within 3 months of hire/transfer; valid Ohio driver’s license; clean driving record; ability to drive car / van in all weather conditions, day and night driving, long distance to and from large surrounding cities; and knowledge of the surrounding area. Must be computer literate to complete task(s) as required Must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of two years licensed driving experience to be a driver for hospital owned vehicles.

Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs., be able to walk, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time as well as be able to help people in and out of vehicles as needed through the course of the workday.
