Certifications
✓High school diploma/GED and completion of CAHEA or CAHEP EMT-paramedic program plus three (3) years of related pre-hospital experience.
✓valid driver's license, certification as NREMTP (National Registered Paramedic) and MS Paramedic and MS Critical Care Paramedic, required.
✓Certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation, NIMS (ICS 100 and 700) and either BTLS or PHTLS or ITLS.
✓FP-C or CCP-C is required.
Certification in ABLS and ASLS preferred.
Certification as a Louisiana NREMTP and Alabama NREMTP preferred.
Qualifications
✓Maximum weight limit of 250 pounds when fully clothed.
✓Individual must be able to lift a patient weighing 250 pounds onto a stretcher and to carry said patient and stretcher for a minimum of fifty (50) feet and load patient and stretcher into a helicopter or other vehicle, with the help of other provider.
