Licensure
✓Graduation from an A.M.A. approved radiologic technology program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists' Certification, and Connecticut State License.
✓RT(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), (ARRT) CT Certification, Connecticut State License, and CPR Certification required.
Certifications
✓A.R.R.T. certification and demonstrated technical skills to meet entry level standards of routine radiography required.
A.R.R.T (CT) certification preferred.
Education
✓Graduation from an A.M.A. approved radiologic technology program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists' Certification, and Connecticut State License. AS required, BS preferred.
Qualifications
✓Six (6) months to one (1) year of Computed Tomography experience required.
✓Demonstrated skills in use of Diagnostic Imaging equipment, image processing and image allocation.
✓Must be knowledgeable of Radiography exam codes and Radiology information systems including scheduling, editing and completion functions.
✓Must possess good communication, patient care and technical skills.
✓Ability to set up and operate C.T. Scanning equipment and utilize scan/manage/display software programs.
✓Is familiar with routine examination protocols and basic cross section anatomy.
✓Willingness to learn and assist in medical dosimetry is required.
✓Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
