Education
✓EDUCATION (number of years and type required to perform the position duties): Associates Degree, Baccalaureate Degree preferred.
✓Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
Qualifications
✓At least two years of specialized training in targeted Level II Perinatal, invasive procedure scanning, (intrauterine procedures including (CVS, amniocentesis, IUTs, multifetal reduction) and fetal echo ultrasound imaging required.
✓EXPERIENCE (number of years and type required to meet an acceptable level of performance): Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in Perinatal Diagnostic Ultrasound including in depth experience in targeted Level II Perinatal, invasive procedure scanning, (intrauterine procedures including CVS
✓Knowledge of and experience with computerized documentation systems required.
✓Prior experience and participation in research and grant-funded activities required.
✓Excellent theoretical knowledge of anatomy, pathology and demonstrated proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment.
✓Must be proficient and accurate in obtaining sonographic images and in discriminating images selected for interpretation.
✓Must possess outstanding communication and organizational skills.
✓Required to interact with patients and families to provide information about the content of the sonogram, as it is being conducted.
✓Must possess excellent technical skills in the guidance of invasive procedures including CVS, IUTs, Amniocentesis, etc).
✓Must be able to work accurately, independently and efficiently in order to complete a minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) scans per day.
