You’ll need
Certifications
✓Possession of certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
✓Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Qualifications
✓Completion of a 24 month American Medical Association approved course in Radio-logic Technology.
✓Possession of current Iowa Permit to Practice.
✓Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment.
✓Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements.
✓Six months of experience working in all aspects of CT Scanning.
✓Knowledge of all diagnostic CT Scanning procedures; knowledge of parameters of film quality; knowledge of patient positioning; knowledge of film development; some knowledge of records to be maintained.
✓Ability to perform diagnostic CT Scanning procedures; ability to position patients; ability to quality check electronic images as well as developed film; ability to develop film; ability to prepare records.
✓Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and geometry, and their applications
✓Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
✓Active Listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
✓Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in caring for adolescent through geriatric patients.
✓Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
