Job OverviewOpened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This senior living community features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings make up this vibrant community and also encompass an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center.

Join our team of dedicated employees who share in our mission to help our seniors heal, discover, and educate for longer, healthier, more meaningful lives. The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents.

Schedule includes;24 hours every two weeks ; Part Time4:00pm-7:00pm ShiftEvery other weekend rotationResponsibilitiesServes meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:Follows meal serving schedule and procedures. Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs. Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.

Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures. Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up. Follows proper work flow to stay on task.

Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service. Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift. Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.

Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc. Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
