We are seeking a motivated Database Engineer to join our Life Science Data Warehouse (LSDW) team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, automation, operations, and maintenance of large-scale data pipelines that integrate clinical and claims data into various Life Science products. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest healthcare datasets in the industry while leveraging modern AWS cloud technologies.
The role requires close collaboration with experienced data engineers, analysts, and consultants to build scalable, high-quality data solutions and translate business requirements into technical implementations. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U. S. as you take on some tough challenges.
For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D. C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary
Design, develop, and test Redshift/EMR-based solutions and AWS infrastructure to support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes within CI/CD pipelines Monitor system and data pipeline performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve data quality and operational efficiency Analyze and reconcile discrepancies between business expectations and data structures Collaborate with analytics and cross-functional teams to optimize, scale, and enhance data processing methodologies Provide recommendations and feedback on database design and data modeling decisions Support weekly and monthly data warehouse build and deployment processes Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices Develop and maintain technical documentation, including database objects, design specifications, and test plans Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas for new products and solutions You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required
1+ years of AWS experience (such as Redshift, EMR, or S3) 1+ years of relational database programming experience (such as Oracle or SQL Server) 1+ years of Python programming experiences 1+ years of experience working with clinical and/or healthcare claims data

The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
