Licensure
✓Must be licensed through the New York State Department of Health
Certifications
✓Technologists may not work in an outpatient setting until ARRT certification is obtained
✓ARRT Registry Eligible (Radiologic Technologist)
✓Must obtain ARRT Radiography certification within 6 months of hire (effective January 1, 2025)
✓Technologists hired prior to January 1, 2025 must obtain certification within 12 months of hire/transfer
✓Must obtain ARRT certification within 180 days of permit issuance
✓Certification must meet American Heart Association (AHA) standards (including skills demonstration)
✓Must hold ARRT or NMTCB certification
Education
✓Graduate of an ARRT-approved School of Radiologic Technology , or
✓Candidates hired prior to graduation will work under indirect supervision of an ARRT-certified Diagnostic Technologist until degree verification is received
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 32 hours per month
✓Shifts: Scheduled based on department needs
✓Weekend rotation: As scheduled
✓Holidays: Minimum of 2 holidays per year
✓Strong technical proficiency in diagnostic imaging
✓Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
✓Excellent communication and patient care skills
✓A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and safety
✓Compassionate approach with a focus on patient dignity and respect
✓Verification of program completion with a scheduled graduation date
