You’ll need
Licensure
✓Lic Dietitian - Must hold a current license or certification specific to the state of employment
Certifications
✓IADHHS – Iowa Department of Health and Human Services
✓IDFPR – Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation
✓Reg Dietitian required
✓CDR – Commission on Dietetic Registration
✓IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire.
Education
✓After January 1, 2024 - Master’s degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required .
✓Individuals credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to January 1, 2024, are eligible with a Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required .
✓Successful completion of an internship coordinated undergraduate program, or post graduate program accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required .
Qualifications
✓IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire.
One year of experience as an acute clinical dietitian for entry level practice or 3+ years’ experience as an acute dietitian for advanced level practice. preferred
