Responsibilities Directs and coordinates planning, budgeting, and operational functions of facilities and support services. Oversees all assigned departments. Assures compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes; DNV; and hospital safety requirements.
Represents the hospital in planning and coordination of construction activities, including monitoring construction progress, documentation, project budgets and activities of various consultants and contractors involved in construction and renovation projects, reviewing and approving invoices, applications for payment and progress documentation, inspecting of work, and monitoring quality and following correction activities for final acceptance.
Oversees Hospital Engineering department, assuring all regulatory and safety equipment is appropriately maintained, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet budgeted productivity levels, using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of service levels, and responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise. May monitor or manage other assigned departments, which may include clinical engineering and security.
May act as liaison with other internal and external teams or agencies to ensure quality, service, security, environment of care, and organizational safety. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management or related field is Required In Lieu of degree six (6) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement Required Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, or Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Preferred Work Experience 7 years of healthcare engineering experience or a closely related field to include leadership experience Required or In lieu of degree a total of thirteen (13) years of experience Required Previous experience in new facility planning Preferred Licenses and Certifications None Required Business Unit : Company Name Piedmont Macon Medical
