4 Year / Bachelors Degree, BSN required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
Minimum of three years successful supervisory/management experience, required. Minimum five years of clinical experience in nursing, required.
Current RN licensure in the applicable state, required.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience, in critical care, at the Manager level or above. Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. EXPERIENCE Behavioral Health Leadership: Demonstrated nursing leadership experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or related clinical services, with the ability to lead safe, high-quality care across a complex patient population.
Clinical Quality & Safety: Provides leadership for patient safety, quality outcomes, high-reliability practices, performance improvement, and compliance with applicable behavioral health regulatory and accreditation standards. Operations: Provides 24/7 operational and clinical leadership for assigned nursing services, ensuring effective staffing, patient flow, resource utilization, and consistent care delivery. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Builds strong partnerships with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health clinicians, nursing leaders, and operational partners to improve care coordination and patient access.
Workforce Leadership: Develops and retains high-performing nursing teams through coaching, succession planning, accountability, engagement, and professional development. Financial Stewardship: Oversees productivity, staffing, budget performance, and responsible use of human and material resources while supporting organizational priorities. Patient & Team Member
Champions compassionate, patient- and family-centered care and fosters a respectful, collaborative, and accountable team culture. Strategic Leadership: Translates organizational and behavioral health priorities into measurable clinical and operational goals and leads change and continuous improvement across areas of responsibility. Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific competency assessments.
Stays current with emerging trends and practices within the area of responsibility, including applicable regulatory standards, policies and procedures, relevant information systems and software, and equipment required to perform assigned duties. Consistently applies safety and infection control policies and procedures. Demonstrates skill in interviewing and selection processes and an understanding of budgeting, staffing, payroll, and purchasing processes.
Implements competency, feedback, development, and progressive discipline processes and demonstrates team-building, conflict-management, and interpersonal relationship skills. Understands the principles of adult learning and teaching methods and models, decision-making, project leadership and consultation, delegation, and communication. Understands customer needs and expectations and identifies opportunities to exceed them.
