The Director, Business Development is responsible for leading a segment of the regional team in pursuit of measurable growth in key strategic geographic areas and/or service lines, enabling exceptional service and care at an affordable price to healthcare consumers in our geographic (and virtual) footprint. This position will work closely with regional operations, managed care, marketing, and direct contracting.
Position Details:This is a hybrid position based in Oklahoma City. Education
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration required or equivalent experienceMaster's in Health Services Administration, MBA or related advance degree preferredExperience
7-10 years sales experience, with a strong track record of delivering results at (or above) planExperience in analyzing and interpreting complex data and information in a planning and decision-making processDemonstrated leadership experienceHealth system strategic planning &/or business development experience, or pharmaceutical sales experience preferredSkill
Confirmed sales/business development leadership experience. Understands and can articulate Mercy Mission, Vision and Integrated Marketing branding, strategy and policies. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and oral).
Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of external audiences & organizational levels, including hospital and clinic presidentsComfort with daily CRM/PRM usage; as a pipeline and activity management/prioritization toolStrong relationship-building skillsExcellent negotiation skillsAbility to create constructive tensionSuperior analytical and problem-solving skills, financial background a plus Excellent project management skills.
Strong conceptual thinking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentKnowledge of financial, accounting, and budgeting activities and analysis Possess high degree of integrity and moral characterAbility to focus on desired outcomes and prepare specific business development and/or operational plans to achieve the same.
