Organizational Development (OD) Director is a strategic HR leader responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating organization-wide initiatives that improve effectiveness, drive change, develop talent, and strengthen culture. The OD Director is responsible for: advancing leadership development, change leadership, organizational culture, employee engagement, succession planning, and e-learning management efforts.
The Director will serve as a strategic partner with the Chief Human Resource Officer, senior executives, and entity leaders to ensure alignment in organizational design, leadership development, and change management with business strategy.
Required Educational Degree: Bachelor's Degree Major/Area of Concentration: Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, and/or Organizational Behavior Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Two certifications from the following, or an equivalent, ODCP, AIHR, Change certifications (i.e. Prosci or CCMP); Clifton Strength Finder; MHS EQ; Vital Smarts Crucial Conversations certification; Center for Creative Leadership; Coaching certification; PHR/SPHR certification Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: ODCP, AIHR, Change certifications (i.e.

- 1. Strategic Planning & Organizational Design
- Develop multi-year OD strategies aligned with organizational strategic plan.
- Diagnose structural, capability, and culture gaps using data-driven assessments.
- In collaboration with CHRO and Director of Total Rewards, lead organization design/redesign initiatives (operating models, reporting structures, role clarity).
- Facilitate OD team development and cohesion.
- Manage OD resources and budgets. 2. Change Management
- Own enterprise change management programs for major initiatives.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping, change impact assessments, and adoption metrics.
- Ensure smooth transitions and manage resistance to change. 3. Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and scale leadership development programs across all levels.
- Oversee succession planning and high-potential talent programs.
- Oversee new caregiver orientation
- Implement competency models
- Facilitate development classes, as needed
- Serve as internal leadership coach and responsible for managing external coaching program/resources. 4. Culture & Employee Engagement
- Develop culture initiatives that reinforce organizational values.
- Design employee engagement listening strategies, programs and strategies.
- Act as a “culture curator,” shaping behaviors and workplace norms. Collaborate across departments to ensure holistic organizational growth. 5. Organizational Effectiveness & Analytics
- Manage organizational development metrics (engagement, talent management and succession planning, emerging leader program, overall learning ROI).
