The Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of the organization and its associated programs and services. This role provides strategic and operational oversight, ensuring the effective delivery of services while promoting organizational growth, financial stability, resident satisfaction, and a positive reputation within the community. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Director serves as a key partner in advancing the organization's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term plans.
The Director provides regular communication and recommendations to the Board, implements Board-directed initiatives, and supports effective governance through sound operational and financial management. The Director develops and implements policies, procedures, and operational standards, establishes organizational priorities, and oversees all aspects of daily community operations. Responsibilities include hiring, developing, and leading staff; fostering a culture of service excellence and accountability; overseeing resident programs and services; managing vendor and contract relationships; preparing and administering the annual operating budget; and monitoring financial performance to ensure fiscal responsibility and organizational sustainability.
As the primary liaison among residents, families, staff, community stakeholders, and the Board of Directors, the Director promotes a collaborative, resident-centered environment focused on delivering an exceptional quality of life and customer experience. The Director continuously evaluates and enhances programs, services, amenities, and operational processes to support resident satisfaction, operational efficiency, and long-term success.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience in operations management, staff supervision, budget administration, and stakeholder engagement. Previous experience within an Independent Living, retirement, senior living, hospitality, assisted living, or continuing care retirement community setting is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, relationship management, financial, and administrative skills, along with the ability to effectively partner with a Board of Directors and cultivate a high-quality living experience for residents.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. License/Certifications: N/A.
Significant previous job-related experience required. Proven ability to lead an organization. Proven ability to demonstrate exceptional communication and relationship skills Proven ability to multi-task and get things done.
Proven ability to manage, remain calm and respond positively to stressful situations and crisis. Proven ability to create and manage budgets. Proven ability to set and achieve goals.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $104,956.80 to $141,980.80 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
