✓Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
Clinical Nurse Specialist licensure and certification preferred.
Certifications
✓Current BLS certification required.
✓NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification and mRS (modified Rankin Scale) certification within 6 months of hire required.
✓Certification in Neuroscience (CNRN) or Stroke required within one year of hire.
✓Knowledge of requirements to maintain certification as a comprehensive stroke center.
Education
✓Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college of nursing required.
Doctorate of Nursing Practice preferred.
Qualifications
✓Clinical expertise in stroke care required.
✓Experience in clinical program development and operations required.
✓Ability to work in a complex clinical and administrative program.
✓Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
✓A high level of analytical ability is required.
✓Leadership skills required.
✓Able to use computer systems including proficient typing, electronic medical records, and chart reviews.
