Emergency Dispatcher

PRN | As Needed 12 hour shifts Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University. How you’ll make an impact in this role Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency telephone and radio calls for medical assistance. Respond to calls in a time-sensitive manner.

Ensure appropriate and accurate routing of calls. Dispatch emergency units and coordinate air medical flights as appropriate and per established algorithms. Maintain documentation of calls and physician/service referrals for legal, medical and statistical purposes.

Follow up with referring entities for ease of access, marketing, evaluation, and quality improvement. What minimum requirements you’ll need

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. Additional Preferences: Prior experience in EMS or 911 Emergency Dispatch is preferred Must be available to work any
