Documents all required fields in medical records, computer entries and charges. Applies orthopedic splinting devices. Collects patient specimens following department/facility policies and procedures.
Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment. Assists with patient transport for testing, admission/discharge, interfacility and aeromedical (per policy of Operating Unit). Performs 12 lead ECG and places patients on continuous cardiac monitoring.
Performs patient phlebotomy following department/facility policies and procedures. Provides wound care according to department clinical practice standards and acts as a resource to physicians and nurses to assist with optimum care. May perform additional duties as assigned.

Full Time, Three 12-hour shifts weekly Training: All candidates must be able to attend an initial 6-week training, Monday-Friday.
1 year of EMT-B experience
High School Diploma or GED Certification: BLS and EMT-B; must either be active on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or possess a current Virginia EMT License/Certification Special
Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Computer skills.
