Licensure
✓Current registration with the National and Louisiana Registry of EMT's as an EMT/B
✓Current class D license by the Louisiana DHH/EMS
✓Valid license and registration (must be current and valid at all times)
Certifications
✓Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
✓Current Defensive Driving Certification
✓Maintains annual regulatory/clinical requirements and documentation per policy (i.e. annual in-service, CPR, TB testing etc.)
Preferred - 2 years current as a registered EMT/A, EMT-1
Education
✓Required - Completion of a formal training program; high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓Required - Experience working with and maintaining confidential information.
✓Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
✓Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
✓Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
✓Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
✓Good interpersonal skills.
