✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Graduation from a University or Community College with a degree or certificate in an Emergency Care discipline (i.e.: EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, MD, Law Enforcement)
✓Required certification applicable to training assigned (i.e. State of Wisconsin or Illinois Licensed Emergency Care Provider, or other applicable certification, such as EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO or MD)
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required within three (3) months
✓Certified American Heart Association Instructor in at least one level (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within 1 year
State of Wisconsin or Illinois Certified EMS Instructor II or working toward completion preferred
Education
If RN, BSN preferred or enrolled in BSN program.
Qualifications
✓Two years of experience providing Emergency Care in ones State of Wisconsin Licensed level.
✓Language Skills
✓Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, customers or employees.
✓Mathematical Skills
✓Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
✓Reasoning Ability
✓Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
✓Computer Skills
✓Must be willing to travel off site for educational presentations 20% of the time.
