and Responsibilities As a Gastro Pre Admit Clinic LPN, you will provide essential nursing care and dedicated support to patients within our gastroenterology clinic, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate patient experiences. Every day you will expertly assist physicians during examinations and procedures, administer medications, educate patients on gastrointestinal conditions and treatments, and meticulously document patient information and care provided.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a patient, detail-oriented demeanor, contributing to optimal patient flow and high-quality care in gastroenterology. Provides pre-admission and clinical nursing care to GI patients by phone and in clinic, within LPN scope of practice. Interviews and assesses patients, gathers medical history, medications, allergies, symptoms, and other relevant information, and completes accurate nursing documentation.
Triages patient concerns, recognizes changes in condition or urgent/emergent situations, and promptly communicates concerns to the appropriate provider or Clinic Manager. Assists physicians and advanced practice providers with patient assessments, procedures, treatments, and coordination of individualized care plans. Provides patient education regarding gastrointestinal conditions, treatments, pre-admission needs, medications, and preventative care; evaluates patient understanding and response to education.
Maintains timely, thorough, and accurate medical records, including care plans, problem lists, procedure reports, and documentation of patient status and care provided.
