Environmental Services Tech

As an Environmental Services Associate, you'll play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Your efforts will directly contribute to the quality of care provided at UPMC Trinty!

Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient rooms, public areas and equipment following established procedures. Prepare rooms for new patients (including bed-making and discharge cleaning). Adhere to all organizational safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.

Maintain cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment. Remove waste and transport to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste stream handling (recycle, solid, hazardous etc.). Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).

May be asked to perform tasks according to various facility needs, including conference room set ups. Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors Performs other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to distinguish the differences between levels of disinfection and perform lor and intermediate level disinfection.
