The Food and Nutrition Services team member supports patient meal service by transporting food carts to and from patient care areas and assisting with kitchen and dishwashing operations. This position maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout assigned kitchen and cafeteria areas while following established food safety and infection-control standards. The team member works collaboratively with coworkers to ensure timely meal delivery, efficient food service operations, and a clean and safe environment.
DUTIES: Transports food carts and liners to and from patient care areas in a safe and timely manner according to established schedules. Cleans and sanitizes cafeteria, kitchen, dishwashing, and other assigned areas according to departmental guidelines. Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other food service equipment while maintaining established sanitation standards.
Assists with tray line operations and other food preparation or service duties as needed to support efficient patient meal service. Monitors and documents temperatures, chemical concentrations, and chemical usage as required to ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety guidelines. Cleans floors and maintains mop heads, towels, cleaning supplies, and related materials according to sanitation and safety requirements.
Identifies and reports equipment needs, malfunctions, unsafe equipment, and potential safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Works collaboratively with team members, follows assigned work schedules and responsibilities, and assists with training and supporting new employees. JOB
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
