Food Service Worker, Per Diem

Description The Ronald Reagan Hospital is seeking to hire a Per Diem Food Service Worker to join the Department of Nutrition. You will be part of a team that provides the best customer service relevant to the retail food service operations in our cafeterias. Primary duties include: Set up service lines Pre-plate and serve food Aid in the preparation of meals Cut fruit Merchandise food items and maintain the beverage station Act as a food runner Measure temperatures of hot and cold items Wash dishes, pans, utensils, and small equipment This is a per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary.

May convert to Career. Qualifications Ability to work around or use strong cleaning solutions. Ability to work in hot, cold, and or wet areas Ability to lift, push or pull at least 50lb and push loaded carts weighing 350lbs.

Basic nutrition production skills including pre-plating of retail foods and assisting with bulk preparation of food. Knowledge of portion control and serving procedures. Knowledge of retail operations such as station setup, replenishment, merchandising and inventory procedures.

Able to read, write, and speak standard English. Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time; stretch, bend, walk, stoop, and reach repetitively. Ability to practice safe food handling techniques.

Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers. Ability to work flexible schedule
