Job Overview: The Food Service Worker is responsible to prepare and deliver quality food for patients, visitors and staff, following HACCP standards.

Demonstrate knowledge of how to operate safely and how to maintain/clean the following equipment: reach in refrigerator, juice machine, assembly line, work stations, blender, and coffee machine Demonstrate knowledge of proper portions and serving utensils for all tray line items Demonstrate knowledge of proper temperature ranges, how to maintain proper temperatures for all items and procedures for items outside acceptable ranges Locate and stock assembly line with needed items from production areas/walk-in cold storage Store food before and after the meal Prepare garnishes for assembly line Portion desserts, soups, and cereals for assembly line Pre-prep desserts for following day Know first in ‑ first out storage procedures Able to read patient name and room location and correctly identify patient for tray delivery by use of hospital wristband identification Deliver and pick up trays from patient's rooms Must complete annual safety Physical & Food in-service Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
