Health Screening Specialist (Part Time)

Find your calling at Mercy! OverviewThe role of the Health Screening Specialist is on-site Health Risk Assessments as a member of the HRA team. Knowledge and skilled technique while performing blood pressure, pulse, body composition and phlebotomy.

Phlebotomy skills required. Participates in processing of HRA, screening, or class paperwork. Ability to complete training and perform a variety of Health Screening procedures including Urine Drug Screens, Hearing Testing, Vision Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, EKGs, and Respirator Fit Testing.

Promote additional wellness services while on-site with a detailed knowledge of services and products offered by Corporate Health and Wellness. Allow for flexible hours including early mornings, on-site travel to out-of-town locations, and accommodating multiple shifts and locations for contracted companies. Position Details:This position is located in SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURICORPORATE HEALTH AND WELLNESSPART TIMEJoin Mercy Corporate Health as a Health Screening Specialist and play a vital role in delivering on-site wellness and screening services to employer groups throughout the region.

This position is responsible for conducting Health Risk Assessments, collecting biometric screening data, performing blood draws, and supporting a variety of occupational health testing services. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in phlebotomy, enjoys working directly with patients and employers, and is comfortable traveling to various client locations while providing exceptional customer service and education. QualificationsEducation: Associate's degree in health-related field or Certified Medical Assistant.

Job experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Excellent communication and organizational skills. Previous hands-on phlebotomy experience required. Blood draws are a primary responsibility of this role.

AHA Basic Life Support certification within 90-day probationary period. Other: Working conditions, mental and physical

Allow for flexible hours including early mornings, on-site travel to out-of-town locations, and accommodating multiple shifts and locations for contracted companies. Drive Corporate Health vehicle on-site for testing and obtain Chauffeur's License within 4 weeks of start date. Equipment used: Various forms of medical and clerical equipment for doing HRA's, including lab supplies and needles, blood pressure cuffs, hearing testing equipment, and other testing equipment.

Preferred

Bachelor's of Science in Wellness-related field. Preferred

1-2 years' experience in wellness field and medical testing. Preferred

Certified Medical Assistant. Physical

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
