Under supervision this position is a key multi-skilled position within the units. Collaborates with team members to coordinate unit activities and flow of information between teams and other entities.
Coordinates and facilitates movement of patients through work area. Provides technical support to the department by maintaining equipment, ordering supplies and stocking all areas that require equipment. Maintains a safe, hazard free and clean environment which facilitates quality patient focused care.

Coursework/Training Completion of a Medical Terminology course within 90 days of hire.
Coursework/Training Pharmacology. Coursework/Training Satisfactory completion of Health Unit Coordinator training. Upon hire: Certified Health Unit Coordinator - National Association of Health Unit Coordinators 6 months Experience in health care activities or institutional setting.
