Takes responsibility for the histology department. Receives and processes surgical specimens. Prepares and stains micro section slides.
Maintains instrumentation.
Prepares specimens for processing. Coordinates documentation and processing of cytology specimens. Processes specimens.
Prepare micro section slides. Performs special staining. Maintains instrumentation.
Monitors histology department and maintains performance improvement records. Represents department in a professional manner. Receiving, logging, and labeling incoming tissue biopsies and surgical specimens.
Prepares specimens for send out testing. Clerical work as needed.
