Education
✓Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree).
✓Satisfactory completion of at least one accredited CPE program.
Qualifications
✓UChicago Medicine Home Care personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor.
✓In addition, personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job-related skills and abilities and as required by licensing standards.
✓Experience working with death and dying, individuals/family/caregiver.
✓Member in good standing with own religious denomination.
✓Ability to work as member of Interdisciplinary Team.
✓Comfort in an interfaith setting.
✓Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
✓Ability to network with community clergy and congregations.
✓Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
