High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Training and

Previous experience in institutional cleaning preferred. Able to perform routine and repetitive duties. Neat and clean personal appearance at all times.
Express concern for detailed cleaning. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, to ensure the safety, security, and efficiency of the operation as well as to the hospital business needs (patients, doctors, staff, or patient family). Must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to emergencies.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Long periods of standing, climbing, stooping, walking, and lifting throughout working day. Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as buffers and vacuum cleaners. Visual ability to detect cleanliness.
Perform variety of duties to include dry and wet mopping, waste removal, wall and window washing and floor care procedures. May require work in special areas such as Surgery, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Isolation Rooms, or Intensive Care Units. Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Possible exposure to combustible chemicals. Possible exposure to infectious diseases. .
