Job Summary and Qualifications The Infection Prevention (IP) Coordinator is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The Coordinator collaborates with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies.
in this role: Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with regulatory and mandatory reporting requirements at the local, state and federal levels. Maintains current knowledge on infection prevention and control regulatory and accreditation standards and facilitates compliance.
Consults and collaborates as needed with local, state, and federal public health officials and community health organizations. Assesses and addresses the learning needs of those served. Assists with the preparation of meetings and meeting materials.
Coordinates the day-to-day functions of the Infection Prevention Department. Collaborates with all disciplines and departments to forward infection prevention initiatives. Uses and interprets data to assist in collection and analysis.

Participates in performance improvement committees, teams, and initiatives as indicated.
