You’ll need
Licensure
✓Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Education
✓Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing BSN/MSN program that will be completed within 5 years of hire.

✓Charge Nurse
✓Demonstrated clinical nursing expertise
✓Strong leadership abilities
✓Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
✓Ability to support daily clinical and operational needs of an inpatient unit
✓Experience collaborating with managers and interdisciplinary teams
✓Commitment to patient-centered care and quality outcomes
✓RN Clinician 2 or higher who has been employed on the unit for 6 months or has had previous Charge Nurse experience from another unit/organization.
Prior neuroscience, neurology, or acute care nursing experience preferred
Experience leading teams or serving in a charge nurse capacity preferred
Interest in quality improvement initiatives preferred
Participation in shared governance and professional practice activities preferred
