Responsibilities Intake MOT/Registered Nurse Opportunity West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and included a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults.

Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and answer your questions about treatment options and insurance coverage. The hospital is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.

The Intake/MOT Registered Nurse is responsible for coordination of assessments of incoming patients with Intake Counselors, coordinates Doctor's assessments and initiates the Admission process. The Intake/MOT Registered Nurse is responsible managing the MOT process and may provide technical assistance to the discharge planning process.

Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing either through ADN, Diploma or BSN Program. Licensure and certification Required: Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure. CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.

Experience Required:Two years of inpatient psychiatric experience. Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnosis and intervention with psychiatric patients. Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side effects.

Knowledge of milieu management. Ability to delegate responsibility to others as permitted in the Nurse Practice Act and monitor performance of delegated tasks. Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures.

Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.
