Inpatient Leadership: Serve as the key admitting, attending, or consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, actively accepting referrals and collaborating closely with other physicians, medical staff, and hospital administration. Consultation & Coverage: Provide essential specialty consultation services for both inpatient and outpatient settings, which may include participation in rotational on-call schedules.
Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
