Licensure
✓Radiographer License (Maryland)
Certifications
✓Candidates must possess one of the following credentials:
✓American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
✓Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
✓Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
Education
✓Graduate of an ARRT-approved School of Radiologic Technology or an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program .
Qualifications
✓Must meet current American Heart Association (AHA) standards, including both didactic and hands-on skills demonstration.
✓Required within 30 days of hire if not already obtained.
✓Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
Strong technical and critical-thinking abilities in a procedural environment. preferred
Excellent communication and patient care skills. preferred
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. preferred
Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and exceptional customer service. preferred

What you’ll do
Perform interventional imaging proceduresPerform interventional imaging procedures while utilizing proper positioning techniques and radiographic principles
Administer contrast according toAdminister contrast according to established protocols under the direction of the proceduralist
Prepare patients for proceduresPrepare patients for procedures, monitor patient status, and ensure a safe, positive experience throughout their care
Verify patient identity usingVerify patient identity using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol and time-out procedures
Review patient histories, physicianReview patient histories, physician orders, and departmental protocols to ensure optimal image quality and procedural outcomes
