You’ll need
Certifications
✓Bachelor's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science (CLS/MLS), medical technology (MT), chemistry, human biological science from an accredited institution, or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in addition to a certificate in MLS.
✓In histopathology or non-testing laboratories, a bachelor's degree with laboratory certification if applicable.
✓A HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree.
✓ASCP or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty and prevailing regulatory requirements. *HT/HTL Certification required prior to start date.

Education
✓Foreign trained lab personnel to provide a detailed education equivalency evaluation to include US equivalent degree at the applicant's expense.
Qualifications
✓Two years relevant laboratory experience required.
✓Other clinical laboratory specialty certificates will be reviewed and approved on a case by case basis.
✓Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), strong organizational skills and self-initiative
✓patience and the ability to effectively coach and mentor others.
✓Experience with data collection, organization, analysis, and delivery of information.
✓Able to work as a team member including taking direction from others, and self-initiating and managing projects as appropriate.

About the role
Responsible for participating in the identification of and planning for laboratory education needs in collaboration with laboratory leadership, assisting with Education program budget preparation, participating in the development of educational programs for medical trainees (pathologists, residents, fellows, post docs, etc.) as directed by laboratory leadership and Residency/Fellowship Program Director.
