Releases and/or places orders in electronic medical record and laboratory computer systems, receives, processes and distributes specimens and/or blood products and prepares samples for transport to other laboratories.
Responsible for answering telephones, checking-in patients and maintaining a comfortable wait experience for patients based on practice protocols and UF Health Physicians policies and procedures. ScheduleFTE: 1.0Hours: VariableDays: Monday-Friday QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience
High School graduate or equivalent. Requires one year of recent phlebotomy experience (clinical or hospital based preferred). In addition, one or more of the following is preferred:Graduation from a certified health-related program at high school level or above; ORSuccessful completion of Advanced Placement courses in the sciences at the high school level: ORSuccessful completion of science based studies at college level (minimum 3 credit hours).
Prefer GPA of 3.0 or above. Must have computer operational skills using a personal computer, laboratory system or other hospital information system. Applicant should display initiative, have the ability to multitask and be able to take on responsibilities.
Proven ability to problem-solve and be a team member is essential. Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None indicatedMotor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'
