Laboratory Assistant

Responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures (blood draws) in the laboratory and in the hospital. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Preferred Knowledge of medical laboratory practices and procedures Knowledge of Medical Terminology Knowledge of Lab/reference manuals, formularies, ICD-9 book, and reference lab procedures Certification/Licensure: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date Preferred ASCP Board or Registry or equivalent
