What We OfferJoin Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center’s Family Care team, supporting mothers and babies from routine newborn feeding through complex neonatal and post-surgical needs. Four 8-hour shifts/week starting by 8:30 a.m.; weekend and holiday rotation

Conduct comprehensive lactation assessments, including latch, positioning, milk transfer and infant weight patterns. Develop and document evidence-based, individualized feeding plans for complex breastfeeding challenges. Collaborate with RNs, pediatricians, obstetricians and neonatologists to coordinate care and safe discharge planning.

Educate families through bedside coaching, outpatient breastfeeding classes and community support groups. Guide families on breast pumps, specialized feeding tools and donor milk options What We're Looking ForRequired: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum of one year of experience in mother/baby care or breast feeding education, required. Current IBCLC certification, required. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Excellent customer service skills. Preferred: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Current RN licensure in appropriate state, preferred.
