In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Acts as point of contact for the physicians and administratorsServe as resource to nurses, nursing assistants, and unit secretariesAssists with procedures, checks ordersResponsible for daily QC and equipment checks on unitEvaluates daily patient acuityAssists with clinical education of staff members in the absence of Clinical Educator/PreceptorAssists with investigation and resolution of QCC reportsAssists with conflict resolution and guest relations concernsRounds on patients and family members at regular intervalsInterfaces with Care Coordinator and discharge planningInterfaces with Patient Placement and nursing supervisorsActively demonstrates responsibility concerning customer satisfaction, throughput and hospital functional capacity through compliance with the Hospital Innovation Project (HIP)Other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: Associate’s degree in nursing requiredLicensed as Registered Nurse by the NC Board of Nursing or Compact State requiredUnit Description:Main Emergency Department is a 64-bed adult level III trauma unit.

Working on a track schedule. Patient ratio 1:3. Our Care team consists of Registered Nurses, a Clinical Educator, Nursing Assistant's, Unit Secretary, Resource Nurses, Physicians, Physician’s Assistant, Case Managers, Physical Therapists, Dieticians and Occupational and Speech Therapists, Charge NursesNew Graduate Nurses are accepted and welcome!
