The Senior Health Center is seeking a dedicated Lead Cook to join our team. In this role, you will prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for our residents, ensuring quality, safety, and excellent service. This position consists of 24 hours per week, day shifts. The Lead Cook role is responsible for cooking and preparing all menu items, directing personnel assigned to food preparation, sanitation, and room service areas, acting as a resource to help others develop and use their production skills, planning production, reviewing production records, maintaining equipment and supplies, and analyzing operations to improve quality.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Culinary degree preferred. License/Certifications: ServSafe certification required.
Previous food service experience with knowledge of food ordering, food preparation and sanitation required. Experience in preparing fresh, healthy, and made-from-scratch menu items required. The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package. The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
