✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Current and valid license from the Department of Health to practice in the State of Rhode Island.
Certifications
✓Registration through the American Registry for radiologic technologists as well as two years formal training in an accredited School of radiologic Technology required.
✓Must hold a current CPR certification from AHA, BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Qualifications
✓Ability to operate all types of radiographic and related equipment, push portable radiographic equipment, and transfer and position patients.
✓Conceptual ability to determine means of providing the requested radiographs of acceptable diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case.
✓Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, to instruct students and employees in radiologic technique, and provides leadership to other employees.
✓Ability to organize and coordinate the operation of a unit.
✓Analytical skills to compile and interpret routine data.
✓Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
✓One to two years of increasing responsibility and experience in a hospital Radiology Department.
