Provides frontline leadership and direct supervision to all staff on shift. Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of Respiratory leadership. Supports management decisions in a positive, professional manner.

Supervises the delivery of cardiopulmonary care in accordance with applicable policy and procedure. Monitors patient progress to ensure effective therapist assessment and reassessment. Recommends changes in respiratory care plans based on documented medical necessity and established protocols.

Prioritizes tasks, communicates priorities, and delegates duties accordingly. Monitors staff productivity and maintains appropriate shift coverage. Assigns workload fairly and equitably, ensuring completion of work by shift’s end.

Serves as a resource to staff, providing training and instruction. Assesses orientation and competency progress, supervising student and staff preceptor programs. Delivers and assists with emergent and routine respiratory therapy, ensuring operational efficiency in diagnostic areas.

Associate'sin Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science [Required] Bachelor's [Preferred] Work

3+ years experience in a hospital as a RRT [Required] 1+ years in critical care [Required] Additional Information: Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located. Please consult the relevant credential grid for detailed information regarding these requirements. NBRC credential must be maintained as a condition of continued role eligibility.
