Position Overview: Dually Licensed therapist role located at Fairview Princeton Hopstial. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with adolescents with mental health and addiction concerns and their families in an intensive outpatient treatment program. Reviews assessments at time of admission, determines clinical interventions, facilitates therapy and provides education for patients and their families.
Facilitates treatment planning and manages each case. Responsible for development of transition/discharge plan. Communicates effectively and respectfully with others, including interdisciplinary teams and all other contacts.
Functions as an interdisciplinary team member. Location: Princeton
Monday-Friday 7:30a-4p Job Expectations:Demonstrates clinical competence in the treatment planning process. Demonstrates clinical competence to assess individual patient needs. Demonstrates clinical competency to partner with multi-disciplinary team in the treatment planning process.
Demonstrates competence in developing a clinically relevant transition/discharge plan. Demonstrates clinical competence in conducting individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and psycho-education groups. Demonstrates the ability to advance evidence-based practice by utilizing standards, guidelines and pathways for care delivery.
Incorporates data and information into practice to continually improve care and practice so that patient outcomes are enhanced. Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice by participation in any of, but not limited to, the following activities:Utilizing evidence-based policies in clinical practiceAttends and participates in learning opportunities about evidence-based practiceMembership in hospital or unit-based practice/research councilsEvidence based practice projectsLiterature reviewDevelopment of standard/pathway/guideline for patient carePresentationResearch study Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill
RequiredEducationMaster’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing or closely related field. License/Certification/RegistrationOne of the following current Minnesota licenses:Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)Licensed Psychologist (LP)Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)Basic Life Support certification prior to end of orientation.
PreferredExperience2 years of supervised therapy experience in mental health/substance use disorders including assessment, individual, group and family therapy.
