• 4:30pmDay ShiftDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Genetic Medicine Clinic is the only genetics clinic for adults in the Pacific Northwest that offers the full range of evaluation, diagnosis, assessment, genetic testing and interpretation, counseling and care management for all genetic and genomic disorders. We also offer resource referrals to individuals who have genetic disorders in their families or disorders thought to have a genetic component.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSThis position is mostly an administrative role - the chosen candidate will flex between doing in-basket work and will occasionally help room patientsConveniently located near public transportationMake a difference for the patients and employees we serveOpportunity to provide career growthPRIMARY

Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile recordsPerform injectionsPrepare and clean exam roomsSubmit medication prior authorizationsRecognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to providerAct as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers Assist provider with procedures and medical examsPerform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory valuesAssist in transporting patients as requiredREQUIREMENTSCompletion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalentMust be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire.
