About the role

Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, or electrical.

  • Graduate of an accredited training school in one of the following: HVAC, commercial refrigeration, electrical, boiler operation, plumbing or related systems, with a minimum of 3 years related commercial experience required OR and equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Must be able to read blueprints, equipment schematics and wiring diagrams Certification or licensure in one of the following areas is required: HVAC (requires current EPA refrigerant Handling Certification) Low Voltage certification Communication (nurse call certification) Boilers (requires 2nd class boiler operator license) Millwright certification Backflow Assembly Tester Locksmith Medical gas systems Working Conditions Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs Must be able to maintain a standing position Typical equipment used in an officer job Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend Climbs ladders, balances, kneels, and crouches to make repairs Exposure to electrical/ mechanical harm, i.e. faulty equipment Work in confined spaces for short periods of time Exposure to hazardous chemicals, acids, cleaning solution, disinfectants, soaps, etc. Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc. Exposure to infectious wastes About Kootenai Health: Kootenai Health is a highly esteemed healthcare organization serving patients throughout northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
